(The Hill) — In a striking response to recent claims from the White House, Mark Epstein, the elder sibling of the infamous financier Jeffrey Epstein, has firmly disputed assertions that former President Donald Trump never visited his brother’s office. Speaking on CNN’s “Erin Burnett OutFront,” Epstein called the official statement a “blatant lie.”
“He did visit,” Mark Epstein asserted. “Numerous individuals employed by Jeffrey at his office can testify they witnessed Trump there multiple times. It’s simply untrue for him to deny it; that’s just another fabrication,” he elaborated.
During the segment, Maria Farmer, one of Epstein’s accusers, shared her own testimony regarding Trump’s visits to the office of the convicted sex offender long before his death.
Mark Epstein has consistently voiced suspicions about his brother’s fate in prison, alleging that he was murdered. A memo released earlier this month by Trump’s Justice Department and the FBI dismissed claims of murder, stating there was no evidence and that Epstein did not maintain a “client list.”
In an earlier discussion with Chris Cuomo from Nexstar’s NewsNation, he stated, “Each time they attempt to suppress the truth about his potential murder, they dig themselves deeper into their own hole.”
Speculation surrounding the Trump administration’s handling of Epstein-related documents has intensified, leading to calls for greater transparency regarding the case.
Trump has previously made attempts to distance himself from Epstein, who faced serious allegations of operating a sex trafficking ring involving minors. Last week, however, a Wall Street Journal report revealed an alleged letter from Trump to Epstein dating back to 2003, raising more eyebrows about their relationship. This letter, reportedly featuring Trump’s signature and inscribed alongside an outline of a naked woman, read, “A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.”
In light of this revelation, Trump has initiated a defamation lawsuit against the journal and urged his supporters to move past the conversation surrounding Epstein.
