NBA Teams Unleash the 2025-26 Schedule: Social Media Frenzy from Courtside to Cyber Space!

On August 14, 2025, NBA teams marked an important milestone in their off-season plans by unveiling the schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 season.

The Oklahoma City Thunder will kick off the season by hosting Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets on October 21, followed by a highly anticipated matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors. ESPN will begin its season coverage the next day with the New York Knicks facing off against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Fans can also look forward to Cooper Flagg making his NBA debut as the Dallas Mavericks take on the San Antonio Spurs.

This season’s Christmas Day games will feature the Knicks once again hosting the Cavaliers, concluding with the Minnesota Timberwolves visiting the Denver Nuggets. If LeBron James participates in the Lakers’ Christmas clash against the Rockets, it will mark his 20th appearance on this festive day—an achievement matched by only 12 teams in NBA history.

All four teams—Thunder, Lakers, Warriors, and Knicks—lead the league tied with the most nationally televised games at 34 each, while the Timberwolves and Rockets follow closely with 28.

NBA franchises showcased their creativity in revealing their schedules across social media platforms. Check out some of their announcements!
