Tom Holland’s Stunt Mishap on ‘Spider-Man’ Set: A Closer Look at Safety in Hollywood

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Actor Tom Holland sustained an injury while performing a stunt for the upcoming ‘Spider-Man’ film in the U.K., multiple sources have reported.

According to reports from The Sun and other outlets such as Rolling Stone, Deadline, Variety, and Collider, Holland fell and hit his head during a stunt sequence on the set of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” at the renowned Leavesden Studios in Watford, Hertfordshire, England—famous for hosting productions like “Harry Potter,” “The Batman,” and “House of the Dragon.”

Images have surfaced of Holland at various events, including the 29th Critics Choice Awards, showcasing his prominent role in Hollywood. As per reports, he may have suffered a concussion as a result of the fall and will be taking a brief hiatus from filming.

The 29-year-old star was transported to a nearby hospital via ambulance, receiving treatment before being discharged later the same day. It remains uncertain if this incident will affect the film’s release schedule, with the fourth chapter of the Marvel-Sony collaboration slated to premiere in theaters on July 31, 2026, under the direction of Destin Daniel Cretton, known for “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.”

Furthermore, it’s reported that another individual, suspected to be a stuntwoman, was also hospitalized following the incident. Just last month, Sony shared behind-the-scenes footage of Holland on the first day of filming, hinting at excitement for his return in the iconic role.

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” boasts an impressive cast, including Zendaya, Jon Bernthal, Michael Mando, Jacob Batalon, Mark Ruffalo, and J.K. Simmons, among others.
