Tommy Fleetwood’s Ascendancy: Chasing His First PGA Tour Title at the Vibrant Riviera Country Club

Tommy Fleetwood of England enters the final round of the Travelers Championship in Connecticut with a commanding three-shot lead.

At 34 years old, Fleetwood is aiming for his maiden PGA Tour victory, having shared the lead with two others after the second round.

His remarkable seven-under-par 63 on Saturday propelled him ahead of American rivals Russell Henley and Keegan Bradley.

Henley surged into the competition with an impressive nine-under-par 61, which featured four birdies in the first six holes of his round.

He posted a clubhouse total of 13 under, but Fleetwood quickly surpassed that with an eagle on the par-five 13th, bringing his score to 14 under.

A birdie on the 15th hole followed, and Fleetwood almost finished the round with yet another stroke gained.

While world number one Scottie Scheffler faltered with a two-over-par 72, his counterpart, Rory McIlroy at number two, managed a two-under-par 68.

McIlroy faced struggles with four bogeys on the front nine, and a double bogey on the 12th hole likely dashed any hopes for a strong finish on Sunday.
