In an update ahead of their matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have three pivotal players listed as questionable: quarterback Baker Mayfield, wide receiver Chris Godwin Jr., and left tackle Tristan Wirfs. According to sources cited by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, all three are anticipated to take the field.
Mayfield has been managing a right biceps issue that limited his participation in practice throughout the week, and he was spotted wearing an arm sleeve. However, head coach Todd Bowles expressed optimism on Friday, stating the quarterback “should be fine for Sunday.”
For Godwin (ankle) and Wirfs (knee), this weekend marks their first appearance of the 2025 season after being sidelined for the initial three games. Both players fully participated in Friday’s practice session, boosting their chances of playing.
Godwin’s return becomes even more crucial given that the Buccaneers will be without their top wide receiver, Mike Evans, who is projected to be out for three to four weeks due to a strained left hamstring, as reported by ESPN’s Jenna Laine earlier this week.
