Eberechi Eze Joins Arsenal: The New Chapter for the London Star

Arsenal has successfully secured the signing of England international Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace.

This marks a significant addition for the Gunners, who finalized a £60 million deal, which includes £8 million in performance-related bonuses, making Eze their seventh acquisition of the summer transfer window in 2025.

Although Eze was initially a key target for Tottenham Hotspur, who had reached agreements with both the player and Palace, Arsenal swooped in on Wednesday to clinch the deal. A lifelong fan of the club, Eze opted to return to Arsenal, where he began his youth career.

Upon arrival at the Emirates Stadium ahead of the match against Leeds, Eze, clad in an Arsenal jersey and casual jeans, received a warm welcome from the fans.

Sporting director Andrea Berta praised Eze as a “dynamic and creative player with exceptional technical skills.”

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta commented: “Eze is a robust and thrilling addition who will enhance our offensive strategy. Beyond his remarkable skills and footballing intelligence, his dedication and hard work throughout his journey are commendable. His determination and aspirations align perfectly with our team’s values, and we appreciate the significance of this move for him and his family.”
