AL East Highlights

Preseason System Ranking: 14th ($207 million)

Key Insights: George has significantly improved, rising from a ranking of 195 prior to last year’s draft, where he signed for $455,000, ranking 160th in bonuses. Notably, 47 players evaluated higher than him failed to sign, illustrating a keen eye for talent on my part. His performance indicators, including a 1.119 OPS, demonstrate impressive strike zone discipline and power early in his professional career.

Next to Make Their Debut: Basallo is currently thriving in Triple-A and is expected to enter the majors this season.

Preseason System Ranking: 4th ($278 million)

Key Insights: The graduation of Kristian Campbell opens a slot for Tolle, who I extensively analyzed recently. Anthony and Mayer are both high on my revised top 50 list, and there’s optimism for Anthony to join Mayer in the majors soon. All pitchers listed are showing marked improvement, which is promising.

Next to Make Their Debut: *crosses fingers* Anthony.

Preseason System Ranking: 21st ($166 million)

Key Insights: Right-hander Will Warren has graduated since our last evaluation, indicating some depletion in this system beyond Lombard. Many prospects exhibit only one or two prominent skills and remain work-in-progress players. I considered adding lefty Griffin Herring, who narrowly missed the top ten at 11th, just ahead of righty Chase Hampton, who will sit out the season due to elbow surgery.

Next to Make Their Debut: Vivas has recently debuted, with Jones and Schlittler currently in Double-A and poised for a 40-man roster addition this winter. Both are likely headed to Triple-A soon and could reach the majors by September.
