In an impressive display of skill, Scottie Scheffler, the world’s top-ranked golfer, captured a commanding four-shot win at the Memorial Tournament held in Columbus, Ohio, in 2025.
Scheffler finished with a two-under-par 70, outpacing fellow American Ben Griffin, whose strong start faltered as the tournament neared its conclusion.
Though Griffin encountered bogeys on the 12th and 13th holes, he rallied with an eagle on 15 and a birdie on 16, narrowing the gap to just one stroke behind Scheffler.
However, a double bogey on the 17th hole diminished his hopes, allowing Scheffler to cruise to his third win in the last four tournaments.
This latest triumph follows Scheffler’s victory at the PGA Championship in May, marking his third major title.
In his final round, he only dropped a single shot with a bogey on the 10th, but he bounced back with birdies on the seventh, 11th, and 15th holes.
With this victory, Scheffler enters the history books as only the second player to win the Memorial Tournament back-to-back, joining Tiger Woods, who achieved this feat in 1999, 2000, and 2001.
