Tragic Motorcycle Incident in Covington County, Alabama

A young man from Louisiana tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident early Saturday morning in Covington County, not far from Andalusia.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, 21-year-old Jackson R. Poole, originally from Youngsville, was critically injured in a collision involving another motorcycle, which he rear-ended.

Emergency responders transported Poole to Andalusia Health for urgent care, but he was later moved to HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital in Fort Walton Beach, where he was pronounced dead.

The other motorcyclist involved also received medical attention at Andalusia Health for their injuries.

The unfortunate incident took place just before 2:00 a.m. on County Road 102, approximately 10 miles south of Andalusia. This tragic event serves as a somber reminder of the risks associated with motorcycle travel.
