Hello! I’m Brooke Scott, COO, Integrator, and Entrepreneur in the Online Space.
I work with female entrepreneurs, coaches, course creators, consultants, and agencies led by women from various sectors by developing the dreamlike, effective business systems and processes they desire.
In essence, utilizing my dedicated team and their contractors, I oversee both their internal and external operations, allowing them to focus on what they excel at.
I thrive most when managing and enhancing the behind-the-scenes operations, systems, and funnels for my clients’ businesses.
My goal is to assist my clients in optimizing and reinforcing their operational foundations without squandering valuable time or resources.
My project completion strategy revolves around lean principles, aiming to ensure a smooth process from start to finish, eliminating unnecessary steps to ensure every action is valuable.
Clients usually approach me to simplify their operations or to tidy up, rectify, assess, and automate processes that were once beneficial but no longer meet their needs after significant growth.
During periods of rapid expansion, they often find themselves unable to pause their current initiatives to troubleshoot and fix underlying issues. The cost of stopping operations for repairs far outweighs the benefits, and that’s where I come in.
My journey in the online realm began in September 2020 when I took my first steps as a virtual assistant.
In the almost three years since then, I have grown and shifted among various roles: from virtual assistant to online business manager, launch coordinator, funnel expert, operations manager, and now COO and integrator.
Although it may seem like an array of role changes, it was a swift and seamless transition of growth—mastering one area while eager to gain expertise in complementary fields.
Since day one, I’ve embraced the journey that has led me to my true alignment, and I can confidently say that my daily tasks resonate more with me than ever.
After earning my bachelor’s in finance and a master’s in business administration in 2019, discovering this world and its opportunities affirmed I was in the right place.
Fast forward four years, I’ve evolved from a part-time solo entrepreneur (while still engaged in corporate work) to running my business full-time from home, welcoming my husband onto the team, and recently contracting our first team member for further expansion. It’s been an exhilarating mix of victories and challenges, yet the most fulfilling journey.
The thrill of entrepreneurship allows for shifts in direction, the creation of life-first businesses, and the chance to define success on one’s terms. Letting go of the corporate structure and its accompanying stress created the first real opportunity for me to enjoy my professional life. We have one life to live, so why not pursue your passions in a fulfilling way?
Each of my days varies significantly—each week and month differ as well—but I strive to maintain a consistent approach that prepares me for the unexpected, allowing me to stay in a productive flow to resolve issues and create the transformations my clients seek.
A Day In The Life Of A COO and Online Business Owner
Morning Focus & Routine
Depending on the day, I generally start my day between 4:30 AM and 6 AM CST. This allows me to prepare myself energetically and mentally for the day ahead—I ensure I take time to wake fully, get ready, hydrate, and enjoy my morning coffee.
I’ve discovered that how I spend the first hour or two significantly influences my entire day. If I leap straight into work mode and create a rush, it often leads to lingering stress throughout the day, resulting in late-night work sessions—lessons learned through experience.
To set myself up for a busy day with numerous clients and team interactions, I give myself the morning to ease into a state of wakefulness, prepare calmly, fuel my body, and get organized. Starting my day in a relaxed mindset tends to enhance my productivity, and I can often wrap up my work by early afternoon, depending on ongoing projects.
Sometimes, this means waking up earlier than I’d prefer, but the reward is a workday grounded in productive energy—especially during tasks that demand deep concentration and troubleshooting. Lately, getting up early is manageable since I retire to bed around 9 PM. (Feel free to insert grandma jokes here!)
Day Planning & Prioritization
The crucial factor influencing my efficiency is the first 30 minutes to an hour of my workday. Every day, I dedicate time to identify my priorities by reviewing my call schedule and then assessing available time to tackle tasks. This time between calls indicates my capacity and the actual tasks I can complete.
Generally, Mondays are filled with calls, leaving only a few productive hours in the afternoon, so I prioritize heavier tasks on other days of the week. Additionally, after evaluating my time capabilities, I focus on what is a top priority for each client.
I usually designate 3-5 critical tasks or focuses for each client and address them according to their urgency across the board. This approach helps me maintain balance, working on various clients while completing essential tasks for the day or week.
Through this structured approach, I’ve found that I can sustain balance longer rather than concentrating on one client for an extended duration. Gradually tackling the higher-priority tasks enhances the flow throughout the week.
I not only apply this method daily but also conduct an overview planning session at the start of each week, re-evaluating it every morning to adapt to recent changes.

Workflow, Client Calls, & Communication
At this stage, I can dive deep into my work, maintaining focus on tasks needed for both my clients and my own business. During this time, I routinely communicate with clients and my team through Slack.
While these interactions can interrupt my flow, I view them as productive moments because I’m actively engaged with both clients and team members. Prioritizing communication as an online business owner is vital, while also establishing healthy work boundaries.
Frequent and meaningful communication fosters trust, comfort, and cohesiveness among my clients and team. This supportive environment not only strengthens relationships but also helps maintain a forward momentum, focusing on what’s urgent versus merely what’s lined up for the week.
Although my daily tasks may vary widely, the manner in which I approach them remains consistent—this is my top priority. Staying in a productive flow allows me to continually perform well for my clients, my team, and myself.
Daily Recap & Reprioritization
At the end of a long day, I review the task and priority list I created earlier. I take a few moments to reflect, noting what I’ve accomplished, where I’ve made progress, and which areas I didn’t have time to address. This reflection aids my planning for the following day, helping to identify pressing tasks that need to move forward.
What Matters & Why You Should Focus On Your Flow
Focusing on my energy and flow daily has enabled me to expand, pivot my strategies, triple my annual income, grow my team, learn new skills, and much more. By prioritizing how a situation feels first, you’ll better understand where your skills should be directed.
Shift your perspective from simply completing tasks to how to show up most effectively. If the focus is solely on checking off tasks, it may not feel fulfilling or impactful. Center your efforts on your most effective working style, and you’ll notice improvements in your performance. Additionally, embrace the unknown areas and lean into discomfort. Although there isn’t a physical movement to perceive, once you start inviting what genuinely matters into your day, a natural flow will return to your life.
